ABOUT A:MIXX

I’m Steve Mac — music producer, remixer, mix engineer, and label owner with over 30 years in the industry.

My journey began at age 11 collecting records, and by 14 I was competing in DMC turntablist battles. At 21, I released my first track, Rock to the Beat with Rhythm Masters, and went on to produce hundreds of house and techno records.

I’ve remixed over 400 tracks for artists including Michael Jackson, Barry White, Amy Winehouse, Jamiroquai, and Candi Staton. I co-run the labels Jack Said What, Out Yer Box, and Port Sunshine alongside Carl Loben, Rob Miller, and Irvine Welsh.

Beyond label work, I provide production, mixing, and mastering services, having quietly mixed records for legends such as Danny Tenaglia, Marshall Jefferson, and Orbital, to name but a few. My hybrid analog studio blends vintage warmth with modern precision. Check out my gear list.
